Meridien Shelties has relocated from beautiful Sonoma County to El Dorado County, California. We are a small hobby kennel with sable and white Shelties. We breed rarely, taking the time to research breedings for the best possible outcomes. We emphasize happy, stable temperaments and strong, sound physical structures that will excel in the conformation, herding, and performance rings, and as your next perfect pet.

We fell in love with the Shetland Sheepdog in 2001 when our daughter asked, "Oh, Mom, can we bring Madeline home ... just for the weekend?" Of course, Madeline quickly became my heart dog and the reason we are in Shelties today. I cannot imagine having any other breed of dog: I am enraptured by their loyalty, loving natures, beauty, and intelligence.

We do all screening tests and exams indicated for our Shelties before breeding.

A pet puppy is just as special as a show puppy. They just may be too big or too small to be shown, as Shelties must meet specific criteria set by the breed standard in order to be shown. Pet Shelties will be placed in pet homes on spay/neuter contracts and limited registration on approval only. Please see our "Available" page for any currently available Meridien Shelties.

We are members in good standing with the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Northern California and former editor for the Club bulletin, 2011-2014.
